El pasado viernes18 de marzo de 2016, en la Federación de Estudiantes de la UFRO, Temuco, se dio el vamos al segundo encuentro nacional de organizaciones sindicales del área social, quienes se encuentran ad portas de constituir la primera Federación Nacional de Trabajadoras y Trabajadores del área social.
La jornada, que reunió a cerca de diez organizaciones sindicales con presencia nacional, más la participación de la Coordinadora Interregional de Trabajadores/as del Área Social -CITAS- y trabajadores/as de base, comenzó con la presentación de los y las adherentes, seguido de la exposición de avances por parte de las comisiones existentes. El encuentro, que tuvo como objetivo principal la discusión de los estatutos de la futura federación, para luego volver a ser discutidas por las bases sindicales respectivas, mantuvo una dinámica fraterna y unitaria centrada en la constitución de un nuevo referente nacional para y desde los trabajadores/as del área social, haciendo énfasis en la autonomía, la dignidad y la solidaridad sindical.
Cabe señalar que dicho proceso organizativo se enmarca en un período
en donde la patronal, constituida por corporaciones y fundaciones que ejecutan programa sociales y que dicen velar por los derechos humanos, no se han molestado en ejercer prácticas anti sindicales, desvinculando trabajadores/as con el claro propósito de destruir sindicatos, coartando el derecho fundamental a negociar sus condiciones de trabajo. Todas estas prácticas han sido avaladas por las instituciones del Estado, a través de los diversos ministerios y/o servicios que financian dichas políticas sociales, quienes han guardado un silencio cómplice frente al maltrato; escenario que sin duda no ha sido piedra de tope para el proceso de articulación en curso llevado adelante por las y los trabajadores.
En palabras de las y los dirigentes participantes, dicho encuentro se enmarcó en la necesidad de fortalecer la incipiente organización sindical en el área, unir las luchas con perspectiva clasista y enfrentar con mayor ímpetu las precarias condiciones laborales del sector.
