Con autogestión y mucho esfuerzo han logrado atraer a artistas como Anita Tijoux, que se reunirán con los pobladores el próximo sábado para celebrar la quinta versión. Un momento para compartir, conocerse y comenzar a trabajar entre vecinos.
El año 2011 comenzó con intensas manifestaciones en la Región de Magallanes, un año marcado por la lucha social, donde el movimiento estudiantil exigió educación gratuita y fin al lucro. Desde los territorios, los pobladores comenzaron a recuperar sus espacios y a reconstruir las redes sociales que destruyó la dictadura.
En este escenario, la organización Cultura y Educación Popular (CEP) La Bandera organizó el 1er Carnaval en La Bandera, dirigido a sus pobladores y con el propósito de ocupar los espacios públicos y construir cultura popular.
De acuerdo al vocero del Movimiento Solidario Vida Digna, Víctor Venegas, “Al principio los pobladores se acercaban tímidamente, luego fueron colaborando en tareas solidarias como dar agua a los cansados bailarines de las comparsas y batucadas. Luego sacaron sus mesas para sumarse a la celebración, y desde el año pasado algunos incluso adornaron sus pasajes”.
La secretaria de la Junta de Vecinos N°9 Carolina Espinoza agrega “Cada año la gente se siente más involucrada, los vecinos prestan sus casas para recibir a los artistas, venden comidas y productos para la economía familiar y se comprometen con la organización”.
“El carnaval ya es parte de la población y se han sumado de manera activa la Escuela comunitaria de La Bandera, la Junta de Vecinos y el Comité de Allegados del Movimiento por la Vida Digna. También comenzamos a estrechar lazos con la Agrupación de jefas de hogar de San Ramón, taller de Zumba y grupo de adultos mayores”, agrega Carolina.
El carnaval ocupa un lugar importante en la cultura popular: “La gente tiende a estar súper individualizada, no sale, desconfía del vecino, entonces recuperar las calles es muy importante. Hemos logrado que la gente salga a ver el carnaval, se sume a la tocata, escuche los discursos que se dan, conozca a sus vecinos, y se interese por las cosas que están pasando”, sostiene Víctor Venegas.
Esta labor es posible gracias a los propios pobladores, sin dinero del municipio ni de partidos políticos, pero con un apoyo solidario de numerosas organizaciones y artistas. Así han logrado una producción de primera calidad y la presencia de artistas comprometidos con las luchas sociales y de gran popularidad como Chico Trujillo y Anita Tijoux.
“Este encuentro permite también la difusión de las luchas sociales que viven los pobladores, por eso contaremos con la presencia del Comité de Allegados del Movimiento por la Vida Digna, que estará explicando la lucha por la vivienda, y la junta de vecinos invitará a los pobladores a sumarse es su proyecto libertario”, señala Víctor.
