Sindicato de trabajadores portuarios eventuales y contratados N°1 Puerto Ventanas S. A.
A través del presente comunicado queremos transmitir al conjunto amplio y diverso de nuestro pueblo y organizaciones sindicales que hoy jueves 18 de Junio nos hacemos parte de la movilización nacional convocada por la Unión Portuaria de Chile y diversas organizaciones sociales del país, con la finalidad de señalar nuestro profundo malestar con la forma en que se ha elaborado y discutido la reforma laboral. No está de más decir, que fuimos las trabajadoras y los trabajadores de Chile en conjunto con los movimientos sociales, quienes instalamos en la agenda pública, a partir de la movilización y de la lucha, la necesidad de un nuevo marco regulador en materia laboral, entendiendo que el actual Código Laboral es una camisa de fuerza que atenta contra los derechos fundamentales de la clase trabajadora.
En este sentido, como trabajadoras y trabajadores portuarios, haciéndonos parte activa de las posiciones programáticas de la Unión Portuaria de Chile, coincidimos en seguir avanzando por medio de las propuestas y de la movilización hacia un nuevo Código del Trabajo, en donde el derecho a huelga, la posibilidad de negociar por rama de actividad económica y las libertades sindicales sean efectivamente parte de los derechos colectivos de todas y todos los trabajadores.
Por el contrario, con esta reforma, el marco de relaciones laborales se mantiene en el ámbito restringido de la empresa, consagrando la existencia de un sindicalismo débil, limitado y aislado. Esta reforma quiere traspasar insólitamente a los sindicatos la responsabilidad de mantener “servicios mínimos” en períodos de huelga, y por último, perversamente criminaliza por medio de los desafueros a los dirigentes sindicales movilizados.
Sabemos que en Chile es urgente que exista un nuevo Código Laboral, y por supuesto, esta reforma está muy lejos de cubrir nuestras expectativas. Es por esto que llamamos a las y los trabajadores portuarios, a la clase trabajadora de Chile en general, y al conjunto de los movimientos sociales, a manifestarse contra esta reforma. Este 18 nos movilizamos en las calles, faenas, empresas y facultades del país, gritando bien fuerte: ¡No a la reforma laboral de los poderosos! ¡Sí a la negociación por rama!
