Crónica, balance y proyección de esta inédita iniciativa
El I° Congreso Nacional por una Educación No Sexista surge desde la necesidad de generar instancias de discusión y encuentro entre las distintas organizaciones e individualidades que día a día le hacen frente al sexismo que padecemos en el actual sistema de educación. El principal objetivo que se formuló el Congreso es construir desde el movimiento estudiantil un proyecto educativo no discriminatorio, ni sexista.
Feminismo y movimiento estudiantil
Este año fuimos testigos del resurgimiento de las demandas feministas en el movimiento social, particularmente en el movimiento estudiantil. Desde el 2011 vemos como se multiplican y se afianzan los colectivos, secretarías y vocalías de género en las distintas carreras y universidades, vemos también como temas y conceptos como patriarcado, heteronorma, binarismo, antes entendidos sólo por un reducido número de personas, comienzan a ser parte de las discusiones de pasillo e incluso debatidos en asambleas.
Este creciente interés por las problemáticas de género y feministas ha repercutido incluso en los espacios de representación, como es el caso de Melissa Sepúlveda primera presidenta de la FECH abiertamente feminista y militante de una organización feminista, la elección de Histeria Colectiva para el Departamento Jurídico Social de la FEUA y los cambios de estatutos de la FEC que permitieron la elección de la primera vocalía de género y sexualidades autónoma de la federación.
La organización del Congreso por una Educación no Sexista
Este creciente interés e intervención de las demandas feministas y de disidencia sexual en el movimiento estudiantil facilitó que existiera la fuerza y los recursos para congregar al Congreso nacional, que partió siendo un encuentro nacional de secretarías de género, parte del programa de género de la FECH, pero que con la integración de las propuestas de las y los compañeros de la VOGESEX UDEC se amplió a más temas y organizaciones que finalmente le dio el carácter nacional y descentralizador que se buscaba. Finalmente el Congreso fue convocado por la Coordinadora de Secretarías de Género y Sexualidades del Norte, la Comisión Disidencia Sexual y Derechos de la Mujer UPLA, La Secretaría de Género y Lgtbi de Psicología UV, la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Chile y la Vocalía de Género y Sexualidades de la UDEC.
El Congreso tuvo distintos encuentros previos en Concepción, Valparaíso y Antofagasta a los que después se sumaron Valdivia y La Serena-Coquimbo donde se discutió en mesas organizadas en cinco ejes: Educación y Proyecto Educativo, Disidencia Sexual, Género y Trabajo, Salud y Derechos sexuales y Reproductivos, y Feminismo y Movimiento Estudiantil.
La presencia del feminismo libertario
Otro punto a destacar es el crecimiento de distintas organizaciones feministas libertarias, que si bien no constituyen una sola orgánica nacional, esta experiencia les permitió generar redes y compañerismo entre ellas. Tanto las organizaciones que fueron parte de la organización del Congreso como aquellas que participaron de los encuentros, lograron ver como la lucha clasista, descolonial, anticapitalista y antipatriarcal es indisociable y es un impulso para las distintas iniciativas que se han levantado en Copiapó, Valparaíso, Santiago, Concepción y Valdivia.
Retos y proyecciones
El Congreso por una Educación No Sexista dejó en evidencia un diagnóstico generalizado sobre la vigencia del sexismo y su perpetuación en el sistema educativo, haciendo patente las prácticas machistas, tanto en el aula, como en las asambleas y espacios de organización. Asimismo, se evidencia que las problemáticas de género tienen que ver tanto con el contenido mismo de la educación, como con los distintos sectores y agentes de la sociedad, especialmente en el mundo del trabajo donde se precariza a las mujeres y a la disidencia sexual.
Rescatamos y apreciamos la participación de personas trans en el Congreso siendo un aporte concreto en la conformación de un proyecto de educación no sexista, esperamos que cada vez sean más les compañeres que se hagan parte activa del movimiento estudiantil y que las demandas de la disidencia sexual permeen en el movimiento estudiantil.
En este sentido denotamos la urgencia de que el movimiento estudiantil se haga responsable de reforzar las instancias de género tanto locales, como zonales y nacionales y que estas instancias puedan avanzar en pos de tener líneas de acción propias, pero también en sintonía con todo el movimiento social.
El Congreso Nacional por una Educación No Sexista es un paso importante en la consecución de un proyecto de educación construido desde abajo y entre todos y todas, pero aún falta mucho por hacer. Si bien el Congreso tuvo una importante participación, faltaron muchos y muchas más, entre ellas muchas organizaciones feministas y políticas, estudiantes de educación media y trabajadores y trabajadoras de la educación. Sin embargo, nuestro mayor desafío es hacer carne estas demandas, y que la lucha por la educación no sexista vaya de la mano con la lucha por la democratización y la gratuitad.
